The year 2007 saw an unprecedented amount of creativity displayed by developers. Old series like Call of Duty was given a much needed push by opening its doors to modern warfare or by finally introducing gamers to an uncharted world of Nathan Drake that pays an indirect homage to the loved-by-all Indiana Jones movies, but there was one game that neither was a revamp nor an inspiration but offered a unique experience that defined the termed immersiveness through environment and storytelling and it was Bioshock.
Bioshock 2 takes place ten years after the events that took place in the original and carries the burden of living up to expectations. Rest assured, the city of Rapture is no better than it was in the original and time has only made things worse. The survivors who were once the smartest and the brightest beings the world had to offer, still dwell in the ruins of the majestic city of Rapture, still dependent on ADAM, still violently insane.
We play as “Subject Delta” which incidentally is one of the early prototypes of Big Daddy! And he posses more speed and intelligence compared to other Big Daddies. Weapons have improved and carry more punch and the plasmids make a comeback and helps brighten up the place with chaos and destruction. Bioshock 2 will offer a wider, darker look into the city of Rapture along with the option to step outside the city and into the ocean. Players will be able to collect special items and gawk at the beauty of Rapture from outside amongst other things.

The action game promises to be more engrossing and terrifying than the original in every way possible and considering the information made available to gamers is just the tip of the iceberg as to what Bioshock 2 really has to offer, there is no denying that this is one game that needs to be played to be believed.
